The Arkansas School for the Deaf is governed by our Board of Trustees. Individual Board members are appointed by the Governor to serve six-year terms, in which they provide oversight, guidance, and support of ASD programs and policies. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the appointment of our Interim Superintendent, Dr. Gretchen Cobb, who has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the school.

Meet our School Board!

Board meetings are generally held on the third Tuesday monthly and are open to the public. The location alternates between the Arkansas School for the Deaf and the Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually-Impaired.
